About Me -- Age: Chronologically mid-40s, mentally mid-20s. I'm married to a wonderful disabled person, we have a house, three cats, and two corn snakes; we watch A LOT of movies (we have over 600 on our wall; our favorite type of movie is Previously Viewed), read a lot of SF and fantasy, go to at least one SF con a year (yea, ORYCON!), and miss going to SCA events.
I got laid off my job in November, and have been working for a few months trying to figure out the Internet Marketing thing. I joined a membership site, which has taught me a lot; now I just need to find the right stuff and sell it. My biggest problem is that I want to do things differently than the way I'm being taught (find a product, research the niche, write articles, social bookmark, get yourself on the first page of Google, and sell); I want to provide stuff to the niche I'm already in, and create a fun site that people hang out in and share stuff with others and, oh, incidentally, buy stuff that I've found for them that's really cool. I feel like I'm being pulled in different directions -- which is why I'm getting so little done.
It's been ages since I wrote regularly; and despite telling myself for all those years that I
am a writer, it's been stymying me something terrible. (Is that a word? It is now!) So the goal here is to WRITE -- about current events, goings on in the house, anything to just get me in the habit of writing again. And you lucky people get to enjoy my experimenting!

I appreciate comments, suggestions, praise, and constructive criticism. In the mood I'm in lately, I'm not sure which response flames will get you.
I'm just gonna Write On!
